SAD DISCOVERY IN CLIFTON
Early on Saturday morning P.C. 28 was summoned to 4 Westfield Place, Clifton, and, entering the house, found in a downstairs front room William John Fling with several minor cuts in his throat, and suffering, as was supposed, from the effects of poison.
The constable promptly administered an emetic, and meanwhile the Bristol City and Marine Ambulance was summoned.
A second emetic having been given, the man was conveyed to the Royal Infirmary, where he was detained in a serious condition. He died just before seven o'clock in the evening.
